It's laughable how some of you despise the rich so much yet you love yourself some big government.
you do realize that if it wasn't for politicians and the government accepting money from lobbyists and big business that we wouldn't have these "rich" people problems you despise. Right?
all that is happening is people and companies are working within the boundaries that they were given by the government.
start taking your anger out on the politicians and the government not successful producers in our country
Right-wing policies have allowed Congress to become separated from the people, and opposition to campaign finance reform means all politicians are dependent on contributions in order to even run for office. So, who has the money?
We are stuck with this corrupt system of "money rules". This is corporate fascism (since most of the wealthy class are investors). It's the Corporate State, Stupid
"Liberals" don't hate the wealthy, they hate the corporate power in Congress and their Fox media whining about how awful they have it. It is not "liberals" and "wealth haters" who have allowed the corporate/government merger. This has developed over decades due to a complacent public, successful under-the-radar corporate lobbying, and the corporate takeover of our "information" media. The antidote is citizen-funded election reform - naturally opposed by in-the-pocket congressmen as well as plenty of uninformed citizens.
Is there some reason everyone ignored my post about state and local taxes being regressive? That completely negates the idea that the middle class and poor are freeloaders... And it doesn't even take into account payroll taxes which are highly regressive.

You are simply an MSNBC sound bite.
I am willing to bet that you've never watched more than 5 minutes of Fox.
you have a ton of BS talking points that you have memorized and a handful of links many of which are politically biased.
you're obviously an Occupy Wall Street Clone. so much anger.
stop believing everything the MSNBC tells you. You might find that you can actually learn something from getting news from multiple sources

detwahDJ response to above: Please clean up your formatting, it is confusing.
So you don't like my "politically biased" links, and then a hissy fit is all you have in response??
I'll give you the same chance I give all Fox dittoheads - show how the "leftist" charges of corporate-run government is false. Show how the wealthy don't get "welfare", or else show how it is better for America.
Show how the Citizens United ruling is good for the country. Don't evade with another tantrum saying that people like me just don't watch enough Fox. Can ya do that please?
Why should one be paying into SS when he can not draw benefits on that money ?
Why is it that when you want to argue about how "unfair" taxes are you pick and choose?
Oh we're talking about federal only.
Oh we're not talking about federal taxes for social security
Blah blah blah.
1. rich people are actually FAR more likely to collect social security then poor people. Turns out being rich adds 5 years to your lifespan.
2. Why do you assume rich people don't benefit form poor people receiving assistance? Theres a pretty well known fact that once your poor get too poor to afford food, and shelter they get all head choppy. Funny thing that. And please dont go on about how thats unfair, and extortion blah blah. Its reality-lets all try and live there.
