I think it is wonderful they can all work and contribute to the wealth that is silicon valley!

Think of it as the fight against inflation. While Jane wants the receptionist job at $15/hr Pabu's wife will please to work at $8 she thank you very much.

I love it when lefties commit suicide.

That doesn't work when I'm trying to get a billing error fixed, wise one.

the contracting agency probably skims 50k and they really get paid 50k
and then 25k is given to the hiring manager and 25k the agency gets to keep.

and no one would be the wiser

fyi why do you think h1b agencies always LIE for their workers to the employers to get them to job.
the hr guy knows they are a sham but does it anyway.

It makes it easier for US companies to attract high tech talent. That sounds like a good thing. Without that foreign high tech companies, this country would be in serious trouble. We've been graduating too few people science and tech grads for many many years.

I would only worry about this if you are in SQA(software quality assurance). All of our software testers are the wives of the foreign employees. It's almost funny -- every time a position comes up, the foreigners come likes pigs to a trough with the names of their "wives" needing work.
