The Federal Reserve is not a government agency and is not accountable to the Congress in any way shape or form. In fact they refuse to even be audited in their operations because they are indeed above the government. It is very difficult to assess the question of their profits when they refuse to submit to an audit of their retained profits. All we know is the amount they return to the Treasury. Not what their actual earnings are.
The fact that they have recorded articles of corporation and stockholders in the form of member banks shows absolutely that they are a private corporation and that their very existence and the fractional banking system the support is contrary to the Constitution of the United States.
The worlds elite control the Federal Reserve and the entire Federal Government as far as that goes.
We live in a world of corruption in which the whores who serve in public office sell themselves long before they ever set foot in their government offices.
Not that any of this will ever change though, because the American people are a lazy and ignorant lot who will never educate themselves to the degree it takes to understand the truth, and even if they knew the truth, they would lack the courage and the moral backbone to do anything about it.
In the final analysis, people get the government they deserve, and the US government is no more than a fascist oligarchy in which the wealthy own everything including the people and all their possessions.
It is comical to see Americans deceive themselves in the lie that they are free and have self determination, when in fact they are just serfs, peasants, and slaves to their government and corporate masters.
