The ideal thing to do is do the interview on schedeule. Load up on Day-Quil/OTC stuff and if you have a really bad cough, go to your doctor and get prescribed some stronger stuff.
Hmmm I'd disagree, I'd say-call them and inform them you have a cold, and say if they want you to reschedule you're fine with that, but you are willing to come in.
It puts the choice to them, AND makes them aware. People coming in sick has been a issue in my workplace.
