We have four political parties. The left wing of the Democratic Party wants social democracy. The corporatist wing of the Democratic Party wants profit and cheap labor. The social and cultural conservative wing of the GOP is anti abortion, anti gay marriage etc. the fiscal conservative wing of the GOP wants profit and cheap labor (see the corporatist wing of the democratic party).

The democrats fish in the cheap labor pool for potential voters who want to depend on the democrats for a few bucks. This is why they support amnesty, an issue so important to what will be a large ethnic majority in the future. They have forgotten the struggles of America's domestic workers, particularly those lacking opportunities like poor blacks.

The republicans fish in the cheap labor pool for potential voters who subscribe to the free enterprise system, who want to work hard and retain financial fruit, who believe in the social and cultural views of the Republican Party. The large ethnic growth primarily from Central America happens to be people who are religious, value family, embrace often traditional gender structure, and just don't share much with establishement progressives. Their main obstacle is race, partly because the GOP is full of racism, as are the democrats. Partly because the democrats shout a million times how the GOP is racist and the privileged liberal whites are angels. The GOP sees potential votes for both its social views and fiscal views.

If America has stopped the influx of a large group early enough, it would be different. But today the reality is no party can stop it and doing so would end that party's political life. As a matter of fact, our society will increasingly yield in the bargaining with politically important immigrant communities. We simply have to accommodate them more and more.

The democrats lost partly because whites today are very concerned about immigration. conservative whites have always been concerned. What changed was that many liberal whites have joined that too. Getting enough Latino votes doesnt balance the loss of the white vote. Democrats dream that they would win only with minority and other non mainstream votes. But demographic numbers are not there yet. The republicans don't have the numbers going for them either. If they don't Reduce their social and cultural conservatism, they will lose more minority votes than they gain white votes. After all, those whites who are concerned about immigration know that the GOP isnt serious about reducing immigration, though it may not be hungrily chasing votes the way the democrats are.

Third world immigrants aren't inherently in favor of any part. On race, they perceive the democrats as the better party. But let's face it. ambitious immigrants, as most immigrants actually are, aren't here to pay more tax, or achieve gender equality, or support gay marriage. They are here for a better life, financially. They often care much less about America's poor and blacks, the way that educated whites do out of knowing our history and possessing a sense of guilt. Imigration is foundamentally a libertarian cause. So is diversity. It is easier to organize and find consensus among homogenous populations. It's hard to do that with diversity in a shrinking economic pie. Conservatives and liberals living in different areas testifies that people would rather be with their own kind.

So, what's going to happen to America?
Racial tensions, suspicions, and even hatred will grow. it gets better when the economy is better. It gets worse when the economy is worse. Middle class whites, many of whom are liberal otherwise, are increasingly impatient and anxious about their own status. They may be polite, unlike rednecks, but those racial and nationalistic undertones are there. When they are truly dropped to a level similar to new comers, they are not going to be generous and smiley.

Unions will remain weak. Public unions may get weaker. We simply have a lot of labor supply. We will have more, at every skill level. Even if you are a tech advanced degree person, you still face increased competition from overseas. We as a nation simply do not prioritize our workers the way most other countries do. We want anyone who can get the job done.

Immigration won't slow down. Each person can bring families in over the course of several years. Amnesty does mean that America gives people a path to legal status. Expect amnesty in another decade. A few more decades, the democrats will have achieve what they perceive as the demographic advantage, now whether that is going to be true is a different thing.

Our ecomomy is growing now, but it's structurally different. You should be in tech, healthcare, education, etc if you want high paying jobs. Tech salaries will still be high, as new things and skills keep emerging. Our housing market won't truly recover until the young buy homes.

Higher education will change. It will deliver much cheaply, which will reduce student debt and depress most teacher wages. It may gradually get rid of teacher unions. More college degrees will be awarded. Each degree will be worth much less in the future.

What pamphlet you been reading OP. Please show link to those four parties platforms if not just your vision. The truth is people will live where they can either make best money working or they will get most entitlements. My opinion is everything changes with events. The world of course changes with this last crisis. If you want to read; then read about the attitudes on 1920's. Then about reality of great depression ;WWII and afterwards the difference. Its the difference in people and attitude. If we are lucky it will happen again.

It doesn't bother me. It does to many others. Whether it bothers you is your personal thing, not relevant.

We don't need any political parties at this point; neither is doing anything for the citizens, and NONE has a shred of common sense. America is going to hell at this pace, and until people will start realizing just how bad they have it, nothing will ever change.

(It's hard to get off the couch and fight for a cause that involves others too! We Americans are the most selfish nation out there in the universe!)

It's hard to make a change when people have been THIS brainwashed. I'll give you an example: the "American dream" means that you own a home to a lot of people, yet that is such bullcrap propaganda it's not funny; the cost of owning a home doesn't end at the closing, it is a recurring, non stop cost...people bury themselves in debt to the point of theres no way out! http://petapixel.com/2014/11/15/poig...sonal-identity

Then, in Communism the Gov is watching over everyone's shoulders, in America PRIVATE companies do that FOR the Government!

The list is so long, I don't have time for it right now, but take the FRAUD of healthcare for another example...like stay at home moms are supposed to buy private, as if one can do that without a job! Unreal...kids having to have 3 pediatricians, and 3 dentists...and so forth...people going to the "wrong" hospital and incurring 40.000 bill...etc.

It is a JOKE what is allowed to happen here!
