In this so called fair world there are so many unfair things are going in our day to day life. My simple questions is that if human labor pay income tax and other forms of tax to government, why not robot has to go through the same process. After all, both are doing same-thing, working for rich people to make them even richer. Some where in economy chain some one is getting more benefit by employing robot labor (automation) and stealing government tax, furthermore it is hurting the real human employment.
They did get taxed, there is a sales tax when bought and a use tax when in operation, there are electric bills to run them, there is maintenance for the upkeep
Why are you trying to humanize a robot, do it the other way around and you are saying people should be treated like slaves again? Bought and sold, make to work 24/7, fed and housed instead of given a salary?
Maybe employers should pay a tax equal or above the savings created by using robots?
This might discourage the use of robots. On problem, besides the loss of profits to the investors, is the quality of the products would likely decrease. Accurately spot welding a automobile body is very tough and repetitive work that really is better done by a robot that does not get tired or bored.
I am waiting to hear the cries when computer programming and other IT work becomes robotized. Comment: Based on the personalities some of my high level programmer acquaintances it already has.
Stop working at McDonald's and get a skilled labor job.
Not everyone can have a skilled labor job. If everyone has a skilled labor job, who will do the unskilled labor?
