... I am trying to learn more about managing my finances and improving my retirement nest egg through wise investments. More specifically I am looking for courses to refresh my understanding of economics and also to help with my personal finances and investing.
Depends on what is meant by that term. If it means tobacco, alcohol, and gambling, I disagree. I haven't had alcohol since 2006 and have never gambled or used any form of tobacco, not even once. I still find my life worth living.
* To learn German. There's no class convenient for me, but there's tons of free resources online to learn just about any language. I'm on day 32 right now on Duolingo.
* To spend 1 to 3 hours a week keeping up with investments. I spend a lot of time researching before I make changes and have several long-term CD's coming due this year, plus there's a number of stocks and funds that I track.
* To continue to save/invest 10%-15% of any money that I receive.
Hopefully I plan to end 2015 with a net worth that is at least 10% higher than today--we'll see.
