Our minimum wage here in IN is still $7.25/hr. Still, the economy has healed to the point that low wage jobs like McDonald's and grocery stores are often paying around $10/hr. That's how it should be - not done by government mandate.

...Next excuse?

Trailer = (a) depreciating asset
. (b) many trailers (esp older) are not accepted by trailer parks and therefore cannot be moved/relocated if nec
. (c) rising lot rents make trailers unsustainable long-term.

Now I am going to inwestigate the $40,000 trailer because I have a friend who lives in that park.

I asked "...why do homeowners seem to be exempt" - and homeowners ARE exempt, especially in California. It's only non-owners who are not exempt. Inflation does not equally impact homeowners and renters.

They aren't subsidizing the employers at all, its the minimum wage employees that are sometimes being subsidized.


Just because someone decides to hire someone, doesn't make them in anyway responsible for all of their bills and living expenses.

You wonder why employees have no loyalty to their employers when employers have this kind of attitude toward them. People need jobs to live on this meaning they need to make enough to live on it is simple as that.

You clearly do not know how Prop 13 works. First of all, new homeowners are not exempt. Secondly, it's not just homeowners, but all property owners, that fall under Prop 13.
