Nope. The only solution is felony level criminal charges against employers.
All else is just a game of whack a mole.

Well, at least for that end of the under the table economy.

Are you trying to tell us that illegal aliens pay income taxes? I wonder how they do that without social security numbers or residency status.

Or are you trying to tell us the estimated 11 million illegal aliens is just some sort of hoax?

Absolutely. Trump can stop the deportations. Just stop the under the table jobs by fining employers.

Actually a lot of illegals do.

They use someone else's social security number

No hoax, but your orginal commentary was about taxes so even without the taxes paid under a false SS number all Illegals pay taxes. Furthermore as pointed out employers are paying taxes on behalf of said workers in addition to the taxes the illegals pay directly. You are just ignorant to the actually functionality of tax payments as it pertains to illegals

Such thorough lack of understanding is fairly common among those who take all their cues from racist and nativist hate-sites. In the real world and whether legal or not, immigrants pay all the same taxes that the rest of us do. Income taxes, payroll taxes, sales taxes, excise taxes, property taxes. Because their incomes tend to be below average, they may pay less in absolute dollar terms than most, but the same can be said on that score for native-born low-income workers.

I am actually surprised to learn that about half of the illegals do pay at least some income taxes. Of course that leaves the other half that do not pay taxes and those who pay taxes but only on part of their incomes. I don't think there is any surprise that many illegals are paid under the table. In my area that is true of many day laborers and helpers.

I am not sure what any of this has to do with race. Illegal aliens are from many different backgrounds, religions and races.

Oh you have reliable tax data on illegal immigrants and under the table workers to know what they pay on their validly filed us income tax returns?

This must be the type of data reserved only for the elite presidential economic advisers.

I think the underground economy is growing among seniors who are finding it harder and harder to manage. Some pay in cash and automatically expect a 10 - 15% discount since they are using cash for services.

And most of the time it works, at least when dealing with smaller businesses and tradesmen. They don't report the income and the buyer gets a discount.

Many illegals choose not to file tax returns. Just as they choose not to go to the emergency room when they or family members are sick and don't call or speak to police or fire officials when they really ought to. Their status forces illegals to try to lay low, fly below the radar, and generally avoid contact with "the system" as much as they can.

Employers on the other hand have no choice but to deal regularly with ICE and the IRS, both on their own behalf and on behalf of every single employee who reports for work in the morning. As an employer, you have to fill out an I-9 for each of your employees. You also have to withhold and remit income and payroll taxes for each employee on a regular basis. Penalties for lack of compliance are severe. If you are some shady, no-account, pop-up, fly-by-night, meth lab operator willing to go on the lam at the drop of a hat, these rules might not matter much to you. If like most businesses, you are making an actual effort to maintain and grow the long-term presence of your company in the community, then you would likely take these rules very seriously indeed. You would in that case end up treating all your employees exactly the same, because not doing so would tell all the wrong people that you are knowingly violating the law. This is part and parcel of how the great majority of both legals and illegals end up paying the taxes that they owe.

No, it's openly available to all who care to go look for it.
