IME self checkouts are rather stupid. But they will get a lot smarter and harder to fool. I suspect all items will be tagged and you'll simply roll your cart through and pay. Automatic. Or you will be able to select and pay for your order online, and it will either be waiting in a box for pickup, or delivered wherever you like.
