I've seen/had plenty of white taxi driver's in the Boston area.

YWhy is this in economics?

There are white cab drivers, landscaping, etc.

I took cabs a few times in Boston, and none of the drivers was white.
I recall one was an African (from Africa), another was an Iranian, and another might be an African American.

There will be tips. Most people including myself always pay tips to drivers.

+1. the real question is why is uber/lyft legal and hack-cabs illegal ? never taken uber/lyft but most hacks ive driven are black.

I live in a small town, & use a taxi several times a week, all the drivers are white.

Btw it's similar in Europe. When I was in Zurich, I noticed a lot of taxi drivers are from the Middle East or Africa.
