If someone has crappy credit and applies to rent one of my homes? Forget it. They aren't getting in my home. End of story.
What do you consider crappy? If they owe another property than i understand, but if they have medical bills.. we all do.. than that is over looked by the credit companies now. But a old cable bill from 7 years ago for 50 bucks shouldnt keep them from renting.. so what is your critera for "crappy credit" because i meet some landlords that over looked some things and others that dont want to see anything on it.. like the 800 fico score people.. that person was a dk anyways.. attitude and all..

Anything under 630 forget it. Sorry but I've been burnt enough in the past that if an applicant has to "explain" their situation they can go somewhere else.

So an applicant who tenders the full rent up front should be welcome, since their bad credit has no impact on you?
but you do get a 2nd chance . it just may take a while again to prove your self so your score goes up . once you screw up you have to demonstrate you have both an ability to pay and a willingness to pay over a long period of time not just a year or so .
you are asking people to trust you with their money or possessions after already demonstrating you are a poor risk . because most people do not change , how they are with their finances is who they are as a person you have to prove them wrong about you and that takes time .
How does a score go up if a person lives without credit?
It will be difficult to do so when the President himself perpetrates a scam that he wants all Americans to own homes and lures everyone in it.
i'd rather be the master of my tiny hovel than a serf in a slumlords mansion. The scam is in wanting all Americans to own homes larger thasn they can afford. Nothing wrong with wanting Americans to own small homes they can afford.
Failure to further your skills, education or responsibility = a lifetime of minimum wage jobs.
It's not high rents that is your problem, it's low income. Why should someone who refused to take a job that requires more skill or responsibility make more money than someone who has? You constantly deny that you are "entitled", yet your actions and comments define that word.
Why should my ability to earn income be impaired by someone else's bad actions?
