It looks like Whole Paycheck is officially dead as Amazon moves to cut prices immediately after the merger closes.

Thank goodness. Starting next week I will be hauling my food from Harlem to Mott haven. Screw western beef. Cheaper food means more people will buy, however this will also spell doom for whole foods Image being a brand for wealthy people who make a 6 figure incomes, as well as brand for liberal type of people. I wonder if whole foods image with downgrade with more and more normal folks shopping their? Will liberal elitist change the supermarket because whole foods now attract normal people?

I'm ONE BLOCK away from western beef here on 60th and West End Avenue and I rather walk to TJ's on 72nd and Broadway! I may be going (more often) to WF's now at TW Mall though!

They're only reducing the prices on certain items. People and their false illusions. Was just there this morning. Had organic raspberries for $2.50 a pack.

They are giving away prizes now? Is that just because it's new?

I don't trust Western Beef. It's all mobbed up. The main facility is in Ridgewood sitting right on the Newtown Creek. Place is skeevy.

food wars :/

we've truly come full circle

that said, i HATE Whole Foods with every ounce of my blood. I would love nothing more than them to fail. I also hate Amazon and stopped using them as well. Disgusting corporate bizarrofare.

At some point Amazon will have to be temporarily placed under government control until the antitrust concerns subside.
