This documentary is very apropos to the current political context. It does touch on China's grandiose plans to establish dominance in the Asian region.

Question for Americans: What's wrong with wanting to dominate world trade? For that matter, what's wrong with being Grandiose about it?

By the way, a trillion is not a lot of money. The USA spent several times that (and still counting), just do dominate Iraq and Afghanistan, which yield no economic return. US health care alone costs a trillion every three months.

China's trade practices are one-sided. Heads they win, tails we lose.

That lasts for only for so long.
Your thinking is short sighted.
Ignores the dynamism of America.
And internal problems and solutions in both countries.
Scapegoating a problem.

I agree there is a problem with China, but what we are doing right now isn't the correct way to fix it. We have created this dependence on China over decades, it's our own fault for doing it, now we can't just pull the rug underneath everything because it is us who will be screwed as well.

Agree.

Not only that we are pissing in the wind at our European allies whom we should be working with on the problem and pulled out of the tpp.

Asia has 4.5 billion people. They are going to drive demand of the future and everything is going to be focused there as a result. 25% tariffs aren't going to do a damn thing to change it.

The entire idea is pants on the head retarded.

Trillion dollar plans? USD? Or is this video confused?

Why would a monetarily sovereign nation use a foreign currency, to do such a thing?

Or is it that China somehow comes up with Yuan to build this or that in other regions out in the world?

"China is producing a $10,000 car". That does not mean the Chinese have to go find US dollars in order to buy one. Nor does it mean the Chinese have to learn English to go to their dealer and ask for a "car". It means the presenter of the information to US consumers has translated the meaning of the content into words the American audience can relate to.

The radius of the orbit of Venus is 65-million miles. Wait a minute -- why would Venusians use miles?
