This article proves you wrong.

Home sellers slash prices, especially in California

And this one.....lol
Over 25 Percent of U.S. Home Sellers Dropped Asking Price Last Month
Share of homes with price drops reached a record-high in September
Over 25 Percent of U.S. Home Sellers Dropped Asking Price Last Month - WORLD PROPERTY JOURNAL Global News Center

And this one....lol
Housing Slowdown? Softening? Whatever You Call It, It's Real and It's Here
https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.rea...rs-market.amp/

This is all happening when mortgage interest rates are still below 5%. Imagine what 5.5% or 6% or 7% would do. It will cut those overinflated and phony house prices in half.

Timberrrrr!!!

bull . 75% did not drop prices
the bidding war that went on when my son just sold was insane . he sold above listing in 2 days here in westchester. real estate is local -period.

we are seeing slow downs all over because of lack of quality supply . there are loads of buyers but most of what is left will not pass the wifey test .

we know so many looking to buy but nice quality affordable homes are getting harder to come buy .

so slowing happends for many reasons including a lack of things to buy .

i know, like gold was soaring and the stock market was collapsing at 17k back in 2016 . more than two years later and almost 10,000 points your predictions are still wrong . but like they say if you are going to predict ,predict often.eventually you will get it right . i just hope no one here paid any attention to your advice . they certainly would be a whole lot poorer for it .

The corollary to that saying is that if you are writing quarterly reports and things go well, credit the brilliance of management. When things go badly blame the economy.

Remember, you don't have to get it right. You just have to find someone to blame.

well the fed is the perfect scapegoat. for those who believed their own bull- crap and failed to prosper in life or make any money by following advice like the above .

blame the fed .it's nonsense but if it makes them feel better to do it then they will do it... . this doomsayer crap has been spewed since i started as an investor back in the 1980's when i used to get the gold bug newsletters .the same sky is falling crap was in it 30 years ago .

real estate is all about local markets , not rates , until they get crazy high . we boomed here in real estate when mortgages were 8% and i was thrilled to get 8-1/4% . higher rates mean the economy and the prospects for the economy are booming .
