This is the result of full employment. That means that eventually the dumbest people will be employed. Which does not really help anyone.

Oh, i got my education. But i dont forget the little people.

But too many forget the little people and think its socialism if you pay the little people a wage they can live on.
Hence all the anger in this thread wishing people like Bernie Sanders dead.

You can have your $150k salary, shouldn't they be entitled to live, they do the jobs the educated won't. Or can't.

Or would you rather pay higher taxes so they live on public welfare?

Up to you.

Would you rather pay higher taxes so "the dumbest people" can live on welfare?

Or would you rather they worked ?

Up to you...

You do know that democracy and socialism aren't in any way at odds with each other, right?
And socialism and communism aren't degrees on the same linear scale, right?
That's a serious 1950s civics class propaganda line of thought. I was hoping such beliefs would be long gone by now, but I guess not.

Sadly, the problem with democrats nowadays is they've gone so very far to the right that they've lost their passionate base.

By the way, I wish to apologize for the tone of my earlier post. Upon re-reading it I feel I was needlessly snarky and impolite, and I'm sorry I said that to you.

I just wish the socialist leaning lefties will not be who leads the Democrat party in the future. It seems to me that they are making a big mistake by going to the left when it appears to me they would find more support and better chances in achieving less extreme goals.

It's appearing ATM that they are in the area where they should consider renaming their party the Socialist-Democrat party. If less intelligence party enthusiasts realized where they are headed I'm pretty sure they wouldn't want to go there.

A 100% employed America would defeat any base the putative S-D party would have.

I hope both Bernie and Hillary have long lives, but more than that I wish they would be cast aside and relegated to their place in history. Their hanging around is not doing America any good.

Yes I know that and I agree with you.

I think one of us has left-right confused, and I'm getting to the point of wishing we didn't use those terms. If my post above doesn't make sense it's because I got reversed. Or you did. Makes no diff, we understand one another.

I just in recent months finally attached red to Republicans and blue to Democrats, by using the mnemonic red means Republican, the first letters of the words.

I wish people would use only the party official names or the words 'liberal' and 'conservative.' Noting also that even liberal and conservative have been fluid in their use over time.

Damn! I need more coffee!

Amazon warehouse employees run the gamut; which is why you're seeing all this moaning about "lost" pay or whatever.

OTOH you have those whose education/employment background is what it is; thus warehouse gig with Amazon is a step in right direction. OTOH you have those who took said warehouse job because though likely qualified for something better, it is all they can get atm for various reasons.

The latter group fully well understand and are aware of how things roll in terms of stock options, bonuses, etc.... These are likely college (and or maybe grad school) educated persons, and or those with a decent previous corporate employment history. They aren't going to let Jeff Bezos pee on their legs and tell them it's raining.

Why not? This just sounds like such a classist statement.

So it would be better if they were on welfare benefits?

Your comment makes virtually no sense at all. Why should I care if so-called dumb people can hold down jobs? Do you not want them to earn money and support themselves?

If we got rid of the "dumb" people the smart people would not want the jobs. Who here wants a job cleaning lavatories?

And also, I've seen some lower class people make lots of money. It doesn't take brains to make money, it takes ambition.

Here's one: You own a moderately large truck, let's say a 350-class stake-bed truck. Drive to a state with no aluminum can deposit and buy them for 1 cent/can until your truck is loaded, then drive to a state with 10 cents/can deposit and sell them.

Here's another: Buy items at Goodwill and thrift stores, drive to Mexico and sell them there.

If you can't afford a truck, get any pick-up and tow a utility trailer.

My gardener charges me $70/month. Let's say he can do 30 yards/day and works 5 days/week: 30 * 5 * 75 = $11,250/month = $135K/year. He has two helpers who may be family. Go ahead and laugh at your gardener. They probably all live in the same house too, that's what Latinos and Asians often do.

(There are no more Asian gardeners. I think they moved up the food chain and the Latinos got sucked into the vacuum.)
