We have had a few issues and need to sign up for protection.

I read that Lifelock has had some major issues. I read that Zander is a better plan but that they do not do monitoring. That seems like a weakness.

Iíd sure like some feedback from any of you that have used these or other services. Thanks much.

I don't know anything about Zander (their reviews are terrible), but I also think Lifelock is a complete waste of money. About the only thing they really do is monitor your credit report and can tell you if someone opened a line of credit in your name. MY FIL had identity theft and they were no help whatsoever. In addition, most credit card companies now inform you of changes on your credit report so you're simply paying for redundancy with Lifelock.

Here's one of the reviews of Zander...

“Zander sucks. I had my id, phone, and a credit card stolen in Hawaii, and I couldn’t get a hold of them – I was told that I would be on hold for 20-30 minutes or I could leave my number and they would call me back and I wouldn’t lose my place in line. I left my number and they called a day later, while I was still in Hawaii and left a message. Then I called again and this time I stayed on the phone after the same spiel of 20-30 minute wait. I put my phone on speaker and waited for over ONE HOUR. So I left my name again, and sent them an email telling them I thought they were a scam. I received a call over a day later on my cell phone and I didn’t answer because I didn’t recognize the number. Finally, a week later, my husband called and cancelled. They didn’t even ask for verification of who he was or anything like that. WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY.” –

Most of the reviews I've read on Zander seem to all consistently claim you can't get a hold of them. Not much fun when someone has your identity and are making out like a bandit.

We've had Zander since 2007. Haven't had to use their services so far. Just now realized I hadn't activated some new features they put in place some time ago and needed to call customer support. Took less than a minute to speak with someone and she was able to get my issue taken care of.

This is discouraging. I hope there is some company out there doing a better job.

Some people would rather unnessarily pay someone else money than do it themselves.

Experian is also a decent monitoring service, although I don't know it's much different from lifelock. I got Experian for free for a few years due to a minor breach at a university I attended. I have no experience with Lifelock but I assume Experian is similar.

We have Zander. There was an occasion I thought my wallet had been stolen. I had no problems getting through and getting assistance.
