If the economy is sooo great, why are people ditching their jobs to panhandle? I have never seen so many panhandlers asking for "spare" change. Why work for a crappy job when you can get so much tax free cash?

Now? That's been true for a very long time.

Because panhandlers know there's a certain segment of society who are idiots and will give the panhandlers money.

Panhandlers probably make tons of money.

Years ago, I was in such a rush to get somewhere, I forgot my wallet at home and didn't realize it until I was already at the train station. There was no time to go back home to retrieve my wallet, so I just asked someone right at the turnstile for a dollar, and he gave it to me.

The first and only person I asked gave me money. Imagine if I had been there all day long!

You tell us. Shouldn’t you be out there panhandling if it’s so great?

As with anything, most people don't think it's great. But just because most people would never do it doesn't mean some don't find it more appealing than working.

Ahh the state of the economy can be judged by one's ability to come up with a negative angle.

The economy can only be judged as "great" if there are no panhandlers in the United States of America. It is only great if everyone who wanted a job had one. It can only be great if wages rose but inflation stayed at 0%, especially for whatever sandwich and fruit one buys regularly. Economy is only great if Baltic Dry is at whatever level the retards who jumped on that bandwagon say it should be.

Who said panhandlers are ditching their jobs? Maybe it's a second job for them.

Look at all the benefits panhandling has to offer.

1 You get to work outside.
2 You are able to meet a lot of people.
3 You set your own hours.
4 Switching job locations is easy. Just move to the next street light.
5 Best benefit of all is your 'earnings' are not taxed.
