There was an earlier thread on this same thing just recently.

I don’t think the article holds water given my sons income and mine, at his age. He’s much better off than I was.

Same here ..all three of our kids and all three of their spouses earn much more then we did

An ours similarly, along with their friends and others that we know and work with. I don't know who these millennial are that are in such dire financial condition, we just don't see it.

They may earn more, but things cost more than they did back then. Plus debt. Did y'all even read the article?

How much debt do they have, and in what part of the country do they reside?

One son is an attorney and had a load of student loan debt ..but paid it off from earnings ......they are In westchester ny.....the others are in New Jersey, and Howard beach queens in
Nyc .

I can’t say what their debt situation is , none of our business

The fact that they earn more in absolute dollars means nothing if they're facing a much higher COL and/or debt load.
