Unbelievable the level of ignorance displayed - You all might have high incomes, etc. but what about people that can't even afford food, to pay rent/mortgage, etc. since they've been out of work for quite a while now. Before judging others, maybe try to put yourselves in their shoes. Fortunately I am still just getting by (although food prices are higher), but there are lots of others not in the same boat.

Wait then, being the Govt, has already sent another one out?

I not hear about this. How much this time? I hopes like closer to $10K than $1K.

Not exactly. Since the payment was $600, vs $1200 before, the phase out completely number is lower this time around. For married couples it was $199K before. Now it's $174K.

I got caught up in that. They issued a $2400 check to me and late hubby, and then the check got sent to purgatory...I didn’t get my corrected check till late October.

Yea I’m not eligible for them nor do I need them. I do wish the checks went more towards people that needed them. Example my job never shut down during the pandemic, most of the people in my office were buying new cars new 500 lawnmowers and bragging about it. These checks should go it to the people that really and truly need it, Just my opinion.

My $600 went to pay our city and county property taxes for the year. They were due before 12/31 but at least they got paid. I think I had enough left out of my $600 for a tank of gas and to order a pizza. Wife is sticking some of hers back and paying on our bills.
