Sad fact is there are quite a few people in this country with no abilities, unable to provide for themselves, and we are already supporting many of them with public funds.

Why Boy Scouts are encouraged to help old ladies across the street is beyond me. Let old ladies take care of themselves.

Funny, your gotcha' comment above makes the point.

Helping people in a safety situation is utterly different that funding those who won't work or are rudderless.
