We had our tax refund direct deposited. According to the IRS web site, if you used direct deposit for your refund then your stimulus check will be direct deposited as well. It also states that May 16th was the last day for the direct deposit to hit. We never received ours. I have tried to locate a number to call but the only number I can find is automated. Does anyone have a phone number I can call? Thanks for any info.
I was quite surprised to recieved ours and for the amount they sent. Their too generous. Im guessing you know you're qualified for the stimulus otherwise you wont be in limbo??
i just found out that i don't even get a check. my mom filed me as a dependent and i did work and made over the amount that they specified. but they say i will not receive it and my mom will not either.
I didnt' get mine either, I am going to call the number...I know we qualify, with 5 kids and our income is below guidelines, and we paid plenty of tax!
so strange...never got a letter saying we WERENT getting it, so where is it?
Thanks for the phone number...
O.K. I called the number and entered the appropriate information and was told "we are sorry but we are unable to provide any information". I know that we are eligible and I know that we received our tax refund via direct deposit. It really irritates me that I can't speak with someone.
When you call the number, don't push the 1 or 2 option. Just stay on the line. Eventually a real person will answer. I have heard people say they have to hold for a 1/2 hour or more, but eventually get a person that can give you more information.
Also, if you used a tax preparer (i.e., TaxAct, TurboTax, HR Block, etc.) and had your preparation fees deducted from your refund, you will receive a paper check.

We used TurboTax. So I guess this means it isn't going to be direct deposit after all. Thanks for the tip!
