I read the bible about once every 20 years, so please take my bible references with a grain of salt. Attempting to quote the bible is something I rarely do.

I don't have a bible in front of me. Based on memory, a typical bible story goes something like this:
And it came to pass, that the waters flooded the earth...

And it came to pass that locusts swarmed the lands...
IN line with that, a present day bible story might read something like this:
And it came to pass that a great financial hardship spread across the land....
The common denominator in all of these stories are the words...AND IT CAME TO PASS.

Nowhere in my admittedly limited biblical familiarity have I ever encountered a story with the words...
And it came as a permanent condition....
Remember folks....THIS TOO SHALL PASS!

Ignorance might be bliss, but forewarned is also forearmed. We have had quite a bit of time to prepare ourselves for a hard landing. Some people will come out of it richer and others will come out of it poorer. Awareness, intelligence, planning and luck will make all the difference.
Reps for that one!

I'm thinking our Navy will have plenty of warning...
We all fantasize at times about shooting down the immigrants who take many of our best jobs while unemployment of Americans rises, but the Navy has strict rules of engagement which preclude that possibility.
