They are called the Quiet Company because they don't advertise and their not if your face broker/dealer. I was amazed on how large and successful this company is how come they don't advertise anymore ? and has anyone ever dealt with them? They seem to be the most fiscally sound company in terms of investing/insurance company out there. I have heard so many great things about this company it's a shame there isn't more company's like this around anymore. Here is some quick facts about Northwestern Mutual.

I don't have NWM experience but I would definitely prefer to deal with mutual companies over public companies. They will probably be taking a smaller profit margin because they aren't trying to fuel dividends to wall street; any profits beyond their wages and expenses will be paid as dividends to surplus-holding policyholders.
