But if you look we are importing people from india to work here in high tech jobs that go unfilled.In the end i beleieve that we are just lossing the education wars really.

And how many US high tech jobs were lost this week ?
5K from M$, 6K from IBM, Motorola, HP, Dell are all laying off.

The H1B's are replacing US workers..not filling in gaps.
Work is going over to India and China as well once the US worker trains them before they leave.

I've been in IT for 20 years. College kids aren't stupid; they see that an Engineering degree or Computer Science degree is not worth the cost in the US due to the offshoring. I would not advise any college student in those two areas of engineering that they will get a decent, stable job with that type of degree.
