The congress doesn't even read it. Most of this gets pushed through the government so fast.
Often times they add a lot of shady stuff in the bill as well.
For example, the no child left behind bill allowed military recruiters to get access to the phone records of all students. That is why they call and set up meetings with your kids to sign them up as fast as possible before they can even vote, smoke, drink or have sex legally.
This is only partially true..the parent has to be notified as well before the child signs anything. But that doesn't stop them from calling and calling and calling and sending junk mail on a weekly basis.
Uncle Sam really wants these kids to sign up something bad.
I've got a HS senior and I've personally spoken to these recruiters on the phone and told them to leave us alone and that they were on the verge of harassment.

Yea I got out of the modern day public prison camps and they call and call and call. They don't stop even after you graduate, they just call less frequent. They load you up with propaganda about how you are fighting terrorists and protecting America. Then they load you up and ship you off to our illegal wars. I know because they got my brother.

Exactly. 75% going to stimulate the economy? Your an optimist. I believe other government programs are only 40% effective. The rest goes to special interests and government employees (among the other wasteful expenses).
yeah - word of caution on that 75%, that percentage was directly from the white house. If the president himself admits that 25% is garbage and pork in so many words you know we are in trouble.
Wait, I thought Obama wasn't going to put up with pork... say one thing, mean another? I thought he was going line by line in everything he signs? I thought he said he wanted to cut frivolous spending? Has something changed? Or did he change? Change we can believe in! Yippee
