Instead Obama's plan -- a plan that is doomed to fail -- is to artificially inflate the cost of homes and keep the debt in the system and force taxpayers to pay the interest on this debt for decades to come.

When you have an economy overladen with debt, the interest on that debt will continue to suck more and more money out of the economy where more households, state and city governments, and businesses fall further and further into debt peonage.

Think of this debt as a giant black hole, if you will, an abysmal monster, which the government keeps feeding. As this sink hole grows and grows through the miracle of compound interest, it sucks more and more people, lives and homes into it.

Until the government writes-down debt and begins regulating the banks, this is the future we are headed into.
Hi Woof(X3),

We are on the same page now. Here is a comment on a debt jubilee.

"The largest contributor to political campaigns is the financial sector"
Bwawwwwww!!! Ya think? Every post of mine can be summed up with "the government has been privatized by a financial cartel".

Well that is interesting because I have never changed my tune. I've been following Michael Hudson for years and have posted several links to his articles and videos in this forum. I'm glad you are reading him now.

He's not my President! He happens to be the "so-called" President of my country. He was elected by ignorant people with the help of the mainstream media. Obama was never vetted and still refuses to show proof he is eligible under the Constitution to be President. I do not believe Obama is a "natural born citizen", a status our Constitution requires for anyone to be POTUS, because his father was not a U.S. citizen when Obama was born...even if he was born on U.S. soil or territory. I think Obama is a usurper and fraud. I also think Obama's policies will destroy the U.S. for many decades to come, which will have our grandchildren's grandchildren paying for his socialist policies and stupid ideologies.

In addition home prices have typically followed the 3:1 ratio of median household income x 3 and we are right around that benchmark now.

$60k median income = $180k median home price.
Not in Seattle. Not by a long shot. Ral estadte. Local. God, I sound like I've been in the real estate forum too long.

Obama bashing thread. Hooray??

1 question for you. (since this just became a political thead and not a business thread)

How do you know he's not a citizen? Where's your proof he's not? Link something. Link something RIGHT NOW.
Because, when you link it I can either say:

A. "That's a link to some mainstream media bullspit" or
B. "That's a link to some wackjob fringe web site."

Either way, I can sit here all day and say, "LA LA LA CAN"T HEAR YOU! EVERYTHING YOU LINK IS FAKE." Kind of like what you just said. Actually, exactly like you just said.

Know what? No one went bazooka Joe NUTS when he was a Senator about his citizenship. It wasn't important then. He was just a sitting U.S. senator at the time. Just making laws and bills and stuff. Nothing really important. Nothing that could change someone's future. Nothing to get all worried abou..OMG HE'S PRESIDENT!!!! HE"S NOT LEGAL!!! OMG OMG OMG!!!!

*********************
Dang...forgot something. My wife's not a U.S. citizen. My kids both are. Actually, they're dual citizenship. Do you know why? No. Do you want to say it's not "real." Well, guess what. It's real. I got the U.S. passports to prove it.
