No disrespect intended but all you're doing now is defending a bad business choice and a greedy way of life.

Because those of us who pay taxes have a vote after the bailout, too.

Let 'em go...I'm sure having AIG on their resumes will be a really big plus in getting that next job.

Personally, I'd like to see a bunch of them in stocks where I could throw rotten tomatoes at 'em.

No different than pro athletes who go to the teams that pay them the most.

If it was only private stockholders involved, this would be true. However it is not due to the bailout by public funds. You can't have it both ways, public bailout, unlimited compensation because you are spending public monies.

You got to be kidding me, right? AIG is a scumbag company that never should have been bailed out, period. Now these 5 rich greedy scumbag execs are complaining about getting their pay cut? They should be thankful that that their company was bailed out by us taxpayers, and they still have their jobs for God sakes.

Like it or not, we (the taxpayers) have an enormous investment in AIG.

Executives that have the talent to turn the company around don't work for peanuts.

So yeah, let's save a few million on executive pay and throw the $80 billion in bailout money away!
