I am trying to get a seemingly discontiuned item for one of our senior clients. We are located in Georgia but the item is in Upstate NY and only cost a few dollars.

The item is carried by a national retailer, but only three are left on the east coast, at a store in Upstate NY. The retailer is unable to ship the item store-to-store, but has held the item for us. We are looking for someone near the store to pay so they can mail the item to us in Georgia.

We have a local phonebook of the NY town, but need help in finding which services/businesses to look for.

We will appreciate any advice.

Thanks,

I don't know how large of a presence they may have in NY, but have you thought about a posting on Craigslist? Or, if there is an upscale hotel near there, try calling it and asking for the concierge. If the concierge can't actually help you with the task, they might at least know who you can call or contact.

Good luck!

Check ebay, you can find every thing there. Then you can just pay your self and it will come to your home.

Wait...the retailer can't ship it for you? That's silly.

If they have an email address, you can send them a prepaid label through Fedex.com or UPS.com and all they have to do is print it out and tape it on the box. They'll even pick it up for you.

Easy Peasy.
