- Were there any classes that bad and lazy students have to attend after 5 pm in your secondary or high schools? I used to go to those classes because I was lazy and didn't learn the lessons and my grades were not very good, either

Our High schools here meet from 7:15 am to 2:15 pm, so no classes would be offered after 5 pm, unless you mean classes for adults or something like that. Our sports and such meet after school, not classes.

In Los Angeles they call these classes - "beyond the bell." They'll do just about anything to pump up credits - legit or not - to get high school students out and into a remedial program at a community college.

We have afterschool intervention once a week from 3-5pm. If a students is failing or is missing work teachers can assign them to intervention.

We take turns covering it for no pay.

We have not yet had a parent challenge (since they have to pick the child up after wards) but its only been in place for a year.
