We lived an hour east of Raleigh, and there were a LOT of home schooled kids, including my neighbors. Can't be too difficult if that many people did it!
(which is good, since there was even sports activities etc.)

We live in NC and moved here from Florida. We began homeschooling 3 years ago. You have to contact the state, they will send you a card and attendance sheet. Also, you will have to test them once a year, we do the Woodcook Johnson test and a tester comes to our home and administer the test which takes about 3 hours.
Homeschooling has really changed our lives for the better, and it has been worth living on one income, even though we have to do without, and had to change our ways majorly, it is worth it 10 times over.

What Standardized Testing Sources do you use and how do you prepare your child for it?
