WFF 'N PROOF: The Game of Modern Logic

What age students would these be helpful for? I am thinking my 10 year old granddaughter could use the experience of the logic game.

I wish I could help, but I've never heard of this game. Since she's 10, I would let her read the web site and let her decide if she thought she would enjoy the game.

good idea charz.....nana053...I guess it could be good if your grand daughter likes "complexity"....and gets exited about poker......I guess it'll take 35$ to find out if it really is "fun for the whole family".....hopefully it would be, and not end up on a table at the next garage sale.

My father, an engineer turned patent attorney, had WFF 'N PROOF when I was growing up. He loved it, whilst I -- neither an engineer nor an attorney, but no slouch at logic -- could never figure it out. ()

It might be easier now than I'm older and, presumably, wiser, but I don't know.

I am not familiar with this at all, however reading about it and doing some quick Googling I'd say that unless your girls have exhibited a strong level of higher thinking already that this might not be a good choice.

Do they enjoy doing and are they successful with things like the logic problems in the crossword puzzle books, the Mensa type tests, games like Stratego or Chess?

If you don't know if they are already higher thinkers, I think I'd offer up some of the brain teaser/logic websites or books that are out there and see how it goes before investing.
