This is for those who have followed my saga. I just learned that there is a war brewing between the parents in the district and the administration that can best be described as torches and pitch forks and they're out to get someone fired. If I'm lucky, my principal will have bigger fish to fry than me come May. Where is that praying hands icon? I am hoping this keeps him too busy to worry about me. I'm going lay low and hope they're too busy putting out other fires to even notice little old me...
Between this and changes in the state's highly qualified determinations that make my triple cert more valuable to the district, I just might make it.
Just wanted to let people know. If I return next year I tenure. While that doesn't mean a lot, it does mean that my principal has to show precedence to fire me. Given I've done nothing that other teachers have not done who were retained, he'll have a hard row to hoe. If I do tenure, for the first time in my career as a teacher I can just relax and teach. That would be so nice.
I'm going into church mouse mode....no squeaks and I'm ruffling no feathers....
