Just to clarify - he does get credit for graduation. He just won't have the piece of paper to hang on the wall. The school is well within their rights to do this - they don't have to give any of their graduates a piece of paper that says they graduated.
Since the kid graduated, not giving him the paper diploma is really all they can do.

Agree. Too immature for college. If he was in a lower grade he could have been left back for not being mature enough to go on.

Indecent exposure? Most women probably wear less than what he wore for crying out loud.

it's not like he got nude.

Apparently you haven't been in college for a while. There's no such thing as "too immature for college"

Authoritarianism at its finest. In this country, one sees a clear relationship between people who desire to abuse authority getting to be in positions of authority. Police, even more so. I don't think it's this bad in other developed countries. I always despised the administration and most of the teachers at the public schools I went to, with the exception of a couple vice principals that were super nice. I very much appreciated the bright, motivated teachers who focused on learning as opposed to conformity, which it seems the rest of them made top priority.

I think it's the conservative, unfair backwoods morals some people try to shove down the throats of their children that isn't even logical. Example: we'll just take this away because it makes moral sense" no no nooo
We need to get away from these 18th century morals, and move along with the 21st century

OK, I just saw the kid on the news a few days ago. He says he did it to gain publicity for his uncle who is struggling to get medical care from the VA. The kid admits that he could have handled it better (duh).

So by the end of the summer he will have his diploma and hopefully the VA will eventually stop killing veterans.

Not sure why anyone would think there should be no punishment at all for disrupting a high school graduation ceremony. It's not supposed to be a circus.
