LAKE FOREST, CA (ANS) -- As the freedom of religious expression in public schools continues to be a concern to many people, President Bush will announce his annual Religious Freedom Day proclamation for January 16, 2008. Unfortunately for students, just as it has for the past fifteen years, it will largely go unacknowledged by schools.

“Public school teachers and administrators are confused and afraid when it comes to students’ freedom of religious expression,” says Eric Buehrer, president of Gateways to Better Education—a national organization promoting greater awareness of Religious Freedom Day.
