My granddaughters school (in fact all the schools in our district) already use the GRIT program. I love it. It has made a real difference in her persistence which she needed.

Yeah, I think it's a little overrated, and Paul Tough has a habit of being a little too quick to jump on the KIPP/HCZ bandwagons in search of solutions that don't really work for all students.

Well, the program my granddaughter's school is using is not that particular program as far as I know.

It's this:

It came to their attention through a TED talk by Angela Duckworth.

It is a fact that you do need to fail and get back up in order to learn. Think about how kids learn to walk, to ride a bike, etc. They fall down and get back up.
