Its a whole different attitude towards education as well. Its considered incredibly important and teachers are respected and trusted enough that the curriculum is a simple set of outcome expectations and schools and teachers decide how to teach to achieve those outcomes. And the whole welfare of the students is taken care of - free lunch for all, healthcare, school welfare workers etc. that wouldn't go down too well, would be seen as stepping on parents' toes too much, but its an important part of the reason the system succeeds.

It looks like a beautiful country. Top in senior citizen care, excellent health care, top in education, living arrangements are much more streamlined. Taxed like crazy for it, but it works!
