Agreed. As a former ESL student myself, principles of syntax (particularly ones so debated as the positioning of prepositions), are not necessary in this context.

As for intensive instruction in English as a second language, I know some have had good fortune with this. Also, while I had the good fortune of taking ESL/ELL through my public school, I can tell you my parents used a private tutor who had a background in their primary language (French) and English.

Well, sorry. I was just trying to make it a bit more readable. Being an ESL teacher, I guess I wanted the OP to have a more correct way of saying what he or she wanted to say. I did not try to rewrite everything. If I were trying to learn a new language, I would certainly want people to correct me. Plus, it's easier to get answers when people can clearly read what you wrote. I was just trying to be helpful.
