Online G.e.d.
Has anyone got a GED online, you know from those places where you pay like $200 dollars for one,and if so is it just as acceptable as a regular state GED.How does this all work? I wonder if an employeer accepts it as a regular GED.Has anyone tried or known someone?

Ditto. You are paying for a document and no, it's not looked on as being good. You need to just study (or take a class) and take the test...

I've never heard of that... is it the document itself, or a study class? Do you need to pass a test? I would think that procuring a GED from a website without taking the GED test is not going to be looked upon favorably, but then again, no employer has ever asked to SEE my highschool diploma... they just took my word for it that I had one. I imagine it's the same with a GED?

it is the same with a GED,the online GED requires a test, you take that online and if you pass they send you your GED.I have never been asked by an employeer for me diploma either but my friend wants to work at a bank and they require it and I think they want to actually see it,he has been out of school for 8 years so has lost the feel for school,so he would rather pay the extra money and take the test online which you can look up the answers while your taking it.

That might be different. If you actually take the SAME test. I thought you were talking about just paying and receiving a GED, no test. But, most reputable online tests would still be monitored, so I think that it's still a little fishy..... Why doesn't he just study and then take it?

Call the local school district and ask about adult ed. You should be able to go for free and then take a state test for the GED. Good luck.

My sister got a GED in Albuquerque but not online....that was a while back though. You might want to call and ask. However, I dont think an online ged is as credible as one that you go to class for.
