Thank you. We have got to learn not to believe everything we read. Many reports have an agenda to push or are taken out of context. I doubt any of us know if our kids are drugged too much or if some countries overlook obvious problems.

Every word ever used for the mentally handicapped has become a pejorative, e.g. "idiot", "moron", "imbecile", etc. Look up the original meaning of those words.
Yes, you are right about how long kids have been diagnosed with ADD since the 60s. We were advised in the early 70s to have our examined and perhaps medicated. We choose not to go that route but maybe we should have, who knows?

Back at the dawn of man, I remember some kids having coffee in the mornings, because the caffeine supposedly acted in reverse on children.

For kids with ADD only, stimulants act as a calming and focusing agent. That applies whether it’s a stimulant like Ritalin, or one like caffeine. This also applies to adults with ADD, who are also prescribed stimulants for calming and focusing. For kids or adults with normally functioning nervous systems, stimulants have a stimulating effect.

Maybe they had figured that out even then!
