Hola/Hi all,

I wasn't sure if I should put this in the parenting forum or here. I'm having my daughter (6 at the end of April) transition out of Spanish immersion into an English speaking K. Our family does not speak Spanish. Our district offers a 100% full immersion program until 3 rd grade. Wonderful program and teachers. Not a good fit for my kid. She speaks like she's from a south American country, but not up for actually learning another language stress free.

Anyone experience something similar? This is mid kindergarten. I've been on the Spanish trip all year and now I need to get in the saddle for English, which will require some catch up for reading and what not. My daughter is pretty motivated, but when she transitions full time after winter break (end of Feb) I don't want her too far behind.

Any advice for some mellow winter break learning sessions fitting for beginning-mid Kindergarten?
