Default Books

Are there any websites where you can take books, read, send back, and get sent new ones? Sort of like Net Flix, but with books. I realize this is a library, but they're always out of the new releases I want to read.

No worse than a public library.

well, yes it is, because library books don't usually leave the local area. anyway, not a big deal...just one of those thoughts.

most library systems will let you reserve books and hold them for you when they come in. I live in a less populated area and we can still reserve them online. I usually just go down the NYTimes list and reserve....it keeps me busy all summer!

Excellent point tamcim72! At the library where I work, we also allow patrons to do their own holds on-line. So you can look through the catalog, put a hold on a new book and just wait for the library to call to let you know it's waiting. You can even put a hold on one of our books before it hits the shelves.
