I'd say 70%;but without it the other 30% would not be possible to learn.

0% of my skillset used at work comes from formal education. All of my current knowledge in the field comes from being curious about computers and how they work.

My undergrad degree was biology. From that I use a tiny fraction. My graduate degree was dentistry. Of that I use 90+%. All of the professional programs teach you the how and the why. You should be using most of your education in work. I would think programs such as Architecture, Interior Design, and Marketing you'd use a good chunk of what you learned.

DH's work takes up about 90% learned in formal school.

My work takes up about 90% of formal training/school as well.

Absolutely none. I learned how to program on my own, after school. Went to college and got disgusted that the teachers knew so little about computers.

Most of the best programmers I've worked with didn't have computer-related degrees.

I'm in the sciences and in education so - practically everything I learned from school (and grad school) is still in use in some form or another.

All of it, but I am an elementary teacher.

My husband works in upper management for Lowes. He uses a lot of things he was learned through traditional education. Especially geometry and comm. arts.

80% as a Designer of Automation I have to use Mechanical, Structural, Electrical, and Computer Engineering courses that I learnt in undergrad. As a small business owner, I use 5% of what I learnt in an MBA.
