Omgosh...that poor little girl...I would be livid if that was my kid.

If that was my daughter I'd be in jail and the driver would be in the hospital.

This is why my daughter doesn't ride the bus. Too many things happen on the school bus and I have the ability to take her and pick her up so I will continue to do so.

I think the driver was appropriately disciplined as he could have disciplined the child in another manner. However, I also hope the kid learned a lesson. Sounds like she was a repeated problem on the bus and needs some discipline, not hugs.

???

A. The driver was fired the same afternoon as this even took place - not 'disciplined'.
B. There was no indication from the linked article that this girl had been a problem repeatedly - she switched seats without asking the driver. Or maybe you know this girl personally and are speaking from personal perspective?
C. What lesson could a 9-year old learn from such a vicious act? Not to trust school bus drivers or other individuals in a place of authority?

Did we watch different videos? I can't imagine how we could have such wildly different perspectives from the same 1:16 minute video clip.
