You ask an excellent question. I recommend the website www.dailygrammar.com. You can take severel usage lessons there. Best of luck to you.

I am not a grammar nazi by anymeans. I do feel, however, that a person should at least attempt to put things in proper form and spelling should be at least close. I do not criticize occasional misspellings, nor do I search for misplaced modifiers, punctuation or tense utilization. It does bother me when my 23 yr old son uses IM/gaming/texting grammar and spelling in a business document!

A document intended to convey a professional message should be delivered in a professional manner.

My best advice for you would be to read something in your native language on a daily basis (perhaps a newspaper article), and try to type up that same article in English. The old adage goes "practice makes perfect," and I'll agree with that. I didn't become an expert on the local real estate market overnight. Another technique that might prove useful would be to record some conversations that you hear in English (perhaps from a site like YouTube), and then try to translate them back into your native tongue. Repitition always helped me to learn Spanish as well, so try writing things that cause you some trouble over and over and over and over and over and over again!

Best of luck, and have a great night!
LMAO, I am not really that bad but thank for explaing the abrevation. You are funny!!!
I want to thank you for your comment, I never approach my problem this way. I am going to rewrite the news papers as you suggested. I guess no more Morning paper for me. Thanks for your help again.
