News, 5th Graders Create "Obaminoes" Mural To Celebrate History Making President.
Westfield, MA (AHN) - Students at a Massachusetts middle school have created a unique work of art using math in honor of the 44th President of the United States, Barack Obama.
Fifth graders at Franklin Avenue Elementary School in Westfield worked with mathematicians at Westfield State College to create "Obaminoes," a mural comprised of 24,000 dominoes geometrically placed to form a photo of the president.

Caaareeepy! (Creepy). Well if no one else wants to say it, I will. I would have been most freaked out if people were doing this with Bush or Clinton or any other president. This worship-Obama-and-turn-him-into-a-mural is pushing the limits in my opinion. Well that's just my knee-jerk reaction. Now let me go back and actually read your article to see why this was done.

I think it's REALLY cool... and to the last post, we have a reason to celebrate Obama's election, unlike certain presidents of our recent past. But we should probably save that discussion for the P&OC boards, LOL. Oh, and there are plenty of schools with murals/paintings of presidents - it's hardly a new and unique concept.

I didn't vote for Obama.....but that would be irrelevant in me being really impressed at the artistic ability of these students. I find it to be a very impressive work of art. I hope a copy of it ends up in the Whitehouse.....especially since the President has young children.

Amazing that the parents allowed it. The whole darn community must be a bunch of socialists, wouldn't you say? Probably even communists.
They certainly should have been banned from doing it. It might have brainwashed those poor kids. They'll never be real Americans now! I hope a lot of parents kept their kids home from school that day.
