Minnesota virtual high school question
Ok, I am going to be starting Minnesota virtual high school ( www.minnesotavirtualhighschool.com) as a junior and I have a friend that does it and his dad and him love it, and they advertise on the radio and tv and stuff. But my main question is it legit? I am pretty sure it is... It isn't one of those scams were you take a test and then you can buy the diploma, and it says on their site that Minnesota Virtual High School is fully accredited by both The Commission on International and Trans-Regional Accreditation (CITA) and the North Central Association (NCA). Courses are correlated to Minnesota-state standards. Is that good accreditation? Should I be able to get into college with this diploma when I graduate?
It is a public school, and when you enroll you are required to still fill out a form for free and reduced lunches so the school can still get the funding and stuff.
It says you will graduate in a ceremony with everyone and Minnesota Transitions Charter School in Minneapolis will issue the diploma and on the list of high schools in minnesota here, List of high schools in Minnesota - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (this is the only list of high schools I found) Minnesota Transitions Charter School is listed here.
So, is this all legit?

What a scary thought. High School Education completely on line. It is a terrible idea for college but even worse for high school. Much of your education in High School is interacting with your fellow students, socialization, clubs, sports and volunteer organizations. Also in a virtual high school there is no group activities and interaction face to face.
Online classes are creating robots!

It isn't scary, I know someone in my apartment that does it, him and his mom and dad all love it, and you can still go to prom and communicate with other students and play sports. The online high school is provided by a regular public school.

We love it!
My daughter is now online schooling and we love it. She gets more done in less time, and without all the distractions she learns more. Social interactions and sports have nothing to with your "education" we are social everytime we interact with anybody. Our city has sports not sponsored by schools, and my daughter has many neighborhood friends, just less drama. Good luck!
