Does anyone know anything about this organization? The trip looks interesting and we plan to check with the American Embassy in Philly for any feedback. It appears to be a great opportunity but I would really like information from anyone who has been on this tour. Thanks.

There is a n organization called cross cultural studies, that organizes study abroad programs virtually anywhere in the world. For the past few years they have suspended the program from Cuba. Sorry I can't answer your specific question, but that is what cross cultural did.

My friend, who will be doing the checking on this, insists there is one. I really have no idea. I would think that it would either be NY or DC.

No, I was asking why there would be an American embassy in the U.S.

I thought it was illegal for US citizens to travel to Cuba--it used to be anyway--did they lift the ban?

There are a couple of exemptions, one of them has to do with academic pursuits...this might be what it's operating under.
