Quick, someone call the authorities! I was making crafts with my daughter today and got PERMANENT marker on our kitchen table! I hope they let me off easy and only throw me in the slammer for a few years....

Defacing school property. While the handcuffs were way over the top in my opinion I do believe the child should have received consequences. We need to teach students to take pride in their schools. Daily schools are cleaning writing off chairs, bathroom walls. building structures etc.... Kids not only write but they carve into the school property.

This snippet is all about what the girl's mother says. I'd like to hear the school's side of the story before I pass judgment.

Same here.

I bet the other kids will think twice before they do the same. I wish this could happen in my classroom. Where is the gum police when you need them?

Wow. A state or morons. I hope the girl sues for millions and taxpayers gets so angry that they throw out all the "adults" responsible.

Have the parents pay for a new desk and have the girl pick up trash, but handcuffs? Stupid.

Thanks for the rep points .... I agree the handcuffs were way too much and I said there should have been consequences, never said what I thought they should have been .
