Horizon City VS El Paso
My husband just came down on orders for Fort Bliss and I am trying to find out the best place to begin looking for a hous. We are used to living in the country or smaller towns. Where is the best place to begin looking(crime rate, lower population etc) Some have told me maybe Horizon City but I don't know anyone who lives there. Any help much appreciated Thanks

I cannot tell you YET! I am leaving for San Antonio in 3weeks to check it out. Then in December going to EP. Horizon city is on my radar. You can contact them and they will send you some info.
Go to www.horizoncommunities.com
I am ex army & air force 12 yrs service. Where are you stationed currently and when are you do for arrival at Bliss? They do have a big gym there. There are 5 gyms within 10 miles of Horizon city.
Horizon is growing alot of military moving there. But the daily drive will eat your gas up.

It's quiet and nice and with all the development off the Joe Battle exits (as in stores, restaurants, etc.) "civilization" isn't too far away. My wife and I just moved here and except for the horrible CF that is the Eastlake/ Darrington intersection we love it.
